Facials

All Facials

5-7 days prior to treatment

- Skip any intensive at-home facial treatments including exfloation.
- Avoid high sun exposure and tanning beds.

Injections

Botox

1 week prior to treatment

- Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, including aspirin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E and fish oils.
- Avoid other facial treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments.

1-2 days prior to treatment

- Avoid retinoids, retinol, or exfoliating acids.
- Avoid waxing or threading the treatment area.


Day of treatment

- Arrive to your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, moisturizers, or any skincare products.

Laser Treatments

Laser hair removal

6 weeks prior to treatment

- Avoid waxing, plucking, and tweezing.
- Avoid hair removal creams and chemicals.
- Avoid hair bleaching.

2 weeks prior to treatment

- Avoid tanning beds, self-tanners, and spray tans.
- Avoid incidental or direct sunlight and always apply a minimum SPF 50 sunscreen when stepping outside.

1-3 days
prior to treatment

- Discontinue topical prescription products on the areas being treated
- Shave the areas being treated

Day of treatment

- Remove makeup, lotion, sunscreen, deodorant, and all other products from your skin.

Forma RF Skin Tightening

10-14 days prior to treatment

- Refrain from excessive sun exposure.
- Avoid botox and fillers close to the treatment area.
- Avoid waxing/threading the treatment area (shaving OK).

3-5 days prior to treatment

- Discontinue the use of strong exfoliating products such as retinols, AHAs, BHAs, etc.


Day of treatment

- Arrive to your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, moisturizers, or any skincare products.

Lumecca IPL

2-4 weeks prior to treatment

- Refrain from excessive sun exposure.
- Avoid botox and fillers close to the treatment area.

1-2 weeks prior to treatment

- Discontinue the use of strong exfoliating products such as retinols, AHAs, BHAs, etc.
- Avoid waxing, threading, or any other form of hair removal that removes hair from the root (shaving OK).
- Avoid any other skin treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or deep facials.
- Avoid the use of self-tanners or spray tans.


Day of treatment

- Arrive to your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, moisturizers, or any skincare products.

Permanent Makeup

Eyebrows

Prior to treatment

- Avoid using acne or Accutane for at least 12 months
- If you've had any facial cosmetic surgical procedures done, wait at least 2-3 months to fully heal.
- Avoid Botox for 2 months
- Avoid glycolic acid, chemical peels and retin-a for 1 month.
- Avoid using any products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) close to the eyebrow area for 2 weeks.  
- Avoid facials for at least 1 week
- Avoid high sun exposure and tanning for 1 week
- No brow waxing, tinting and/or electrolysis for at least 1 week
- If possible, exfoliate the brow area 1 week prior. 
- Avoid fish oils, niacin, vitamin E and ibuprofen for 48 hours
- To prevent excess bleeding and minimize swelling, avoid alcohol or caffeine for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid working out same day

Eyeliner

Prior to treatment

- Avoid using acne or Accutane for at least 12 months

- No Latisse for 3 weeks.
- Avoid facials for at least 1 week

- To prevent excess bleeding and minimize swelling, avoid alcohol or caffeine for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid working out same day

Lips

Prior to treatment

- Avoid using acne or Accutane for at least 12 months
- If you've had any facial cosmetic surgical procedures done, wait at least 2-3 months to fully heal.
- Avoid Botox for 2 months
- Avoid lip fillers for 6 weeks.
- Avoid glycolic acid, chemical peels and retin-a for 1 month
- Avoid facials for at least 1 week
- Avoid high sun exposure and tanning for 1 week
- If you have previously had a cold sore, take anti-viral medication 1 week prior.
- Avoid fish oils, niacin, vitamin E and ibuprofen for 48 hours
- To prevent excess bleeding and minimize swelling, avoid alcohol or caffeine for a minimum of 24 hours
- Avoid working out same day

Skin Treatments

Chemical Peels

1-2 weeks prior to treatment

- Avoid other facial treatments such as microdermabrasion or laser services.
- Discontinue the use of strong exfoliating products such as retinols, AHAs, BHAs, etc.
- Stop use of all mechanical exfoliants such as scrubs.
- Refrain from excessive sun exposure.
- Discontinue the use of self-tanners, spray tans, or any tanning products.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily.
- Avoid facial waxing and threading.

1-2 days prior to treatment

- If you are getting a peel on your face, shave the treatment area.

Other

- Inform us if you have taken Accutane or other acne medication in the past year. 
- If you have a history of HSV, have an antiviral on hand to take right before your appointment.

Microneedling

Prior to treatment

- Anticoagulant therapy including aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen should be discontinued 14 days.
- Discontinue retinoids including retinol or retin-A (tretinoin) and other skin irritants and exfoliants including glycolic or lactic acid for a minimum of 3-5 days.
- To prevent excess bleeding and minimize swelling, avoid alcohol or caffeine for a minimum of 24 hours.


Day of treatment

- If applicable, please take the prescribed antiviral medication at least 2 hours prior.
